Rainy skies over Luzon, says PAGASA

The shear line is affecting the eastern section of southern Luzon, while the rest of Luzon is experiencing the effects of the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan, according to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Wednesday.

The shear line, or tail-end of a frontal system, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to several areas in the Bicol Region, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan, Aklan, Capiz, Biliran, Northern Samar, Samar, and Eastern Samar.

The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains to Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be felt over the rest of the country because of localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas as a result of said weather conditions.

Meanwhile, Luzon will see moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters, while Visayas and Mindanao are forecast to get light to moderate winds with slight to moderate waters.

The sun will rise at 6:01 a.m. on Thursday morning. — Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/BM, GMA Integrated News
