Shear line, amihan to bring rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas
The shear line and the northeast monsoon (amihan) will bring rains over parts of Luzon and Visayas on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.
Visayas, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Quezon, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
