Shear line, trough of LPA to bring scattered rains over Visayas
The shear line will be affecting the eastern section of the Visayas while the northeast monsoon (amihan) will affect Luzon on Friday, PAGASA reported.
Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Caraga, Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, Palawan, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line and trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Batanes and Cagayan including Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
The rest of the country will partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the shear line and localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed for Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao is moderate to strong moving in the northeast to north direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.
