Shear line to bring scattered rains, thunderstorms over Southern Luzon
The shear line will be affecting Southern Luzon while the northeast monsoon (amihan) will continue to affect Northern and Central Luzon on Thursday, PAGASA reported.
Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Quezon, Marinduque, and Romblon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line with the possibility that flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Central Luzon and the rest of CALABARZON will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the shear line and localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao is moderate to strong and moving in the northeast to north direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
