Shear line, Amihan to bring rains over parts of Luzon
The shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will affect Luzon on Monday and will bring rains over several areas, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
The Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, and Northern Samar will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley and Apayao may expect cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly lead to flash floods or landslides.
The Ilocos Region, the rest of Central Luzon, and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the shear line and localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly occur.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Northern Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
