Cloudy skies, rains in parts of Visayas, Mindanao due to LPA
Parts of Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies and rains due to the low pressure area located off Dipolog City in Zamboanga del Norte, the state weather bureau PAGASA said on Wednesday afternoon.
At 3 p.m., the LPA was spotted 185 kilometers west of Dipolog, which will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, Soccsksargen, Palawan, Negros Oriental, Misamis Occidental, and Lanao del Norte.
Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte will have the same weather conditions due to the shear line and easterlies.
Batanes and the Babuyan Islands will experience cloudy skies with rains because of the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan).
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are forecast for Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters, while Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience moderate winds with moderate coastal waters.
Mindanao will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:54 a.m. on Thursday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
