Shear Line, LPA's trough to bring scattered rains over parts of the country

The shear line and trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over parts of the country on Saturday, PAGASA reported.

Batanes and Cagayan including Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Eastern Visayas and Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA. Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to east with slight to moderate coastal waters.
