Amihan, shear line continue to affect parts of Luzon

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is affecting Northern Luzon while the shear line continues to bring scattered rain showers to the eastern section of Central Luzon, according to PAGASA’s weather forecast on Wednesday afternoon.

Isabela and Aurora are forecast to have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms because of the shear line, while the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods and landslides may occur due to the shear line and the Northeast Monsoon.

Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:50 a.m. on Thursday.  —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
