LPA spotted west of Palawan

A new low pressure area has been monitored by the state weather bureau PAGASA.

At 3 p.m., the LPA was located 300 kilometers west of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, according to PAGASA's 24-hour weather forecast issued at 4 p.m.

Calabarzon, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, and the northern portion of Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Flash floods or landslides may occur as a result of these weather conditions.

The Northeasterly Surface Windflow will bring cloudy skies with light rains to Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, and Abra.

Moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters are forecast for Northern Luzon, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
