Trough of LPA affects parts of PH

The trough of a low pressure area is affecting parts of the country, according to PAGASA’s weather forecast issued on Tuesday afternoon.

PAGASA is also monitoring Typhoon Bolaven, which was last seen 2,300 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon (outside PAR), with maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 160 km/h.

Bolaven was moving west northwestward at 20 km/h.

Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol Region, and Palawan are forecast to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms because of the trough of the LPA.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA and localized thunderstorms.

Flooding or landslides may occur as a result of these weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:47 a.m. on Wednesday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
