LPA's trough, localized thunderstorms to bring rains over parts of the country
The trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) and localized thunderstorms will bring scattered rain showers over parts of the country on Tuesday, PAGASA reported.
The weather bureau continues to monitor the active tropical cyclones outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
As of 3 a.m. on Tuesday, one tropical depression (formerly Jenny) is 1,025 kilometers west of extreme Northern Luzon packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour, gustiness of up to 55 km/h, and moving slowly in the west southwest direction.
Typhoon Bolaven, meanwhile, is located 2,385 km east of northeastern Mindanao packing maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h, gustiness up to 150 km/h, and moving northwestward at a speed of 20km/h.
Mindanao, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, and Central Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA's trough that could bring flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA and localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Luzon and Visayas will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to north and slight to moderate coastal waters.
Mindanao residents may experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northwest to west direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Sunrise will be at 5:47 a.m., sunset at 5:40 p.m. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
