PAGASA: Southwest Monsoon affecting parts of Luzon
The Southwest Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rain showers to parts of Luzon as Typhoon Jenny moves further away from the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Friday, Typhoon Koinu, formerly Jenny, is moving west southwestward from Itbayat, Batanes.
Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Bataan are forecast to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms because of the Southwest Monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the Southwest Monsoon and localized thunderstorms.
Possible flash floods and landslides may occur as a result of the weather condition.
Meanwhile, Northern and Central Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The sun will rise at 5:46 a.m. on Saturday.—Jiselle Anne Casucian/LDF, GMA Integrated News
