LPA's trough, habagat to bring rain over parts of the country

The trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) will be affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao while the southwest monsoon or habagat will be affecting the western sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas, PAGASA reported.

Eastern Visayas and Central Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Palawan, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the rest of Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA and localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon is light to moderate moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate moving in the southwest to west direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
