Trough of LPA, Habagat affect parts of PH

The trough of a low pressure area and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring cloudy skies and rains across the country, according to the state weather bureau PAGASA on Thursday afternoon.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail in Visayas, Palawan, and Caraga because of the LPA's trough and Southwest Monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA and localized thunderstorms.

The whole country will experience light to moderate winds along with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:46 a.m. on Friday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
