LPA spotted east of Extreme Northern Luzon

The trough of a low pressure area will affect parts of the country, the state weather bureau PAGASA said on Wednesday afternoon.

At 3 p.m., the LPA was located 1,000 kilometers east of Extreme Northern Luzon, and its trough will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, and Masbate.

The Southwest Monsoon (Hagabat) will prevail in northern Palawan, while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the LPA's trough and localized thunderstorms.

The whole country will experience light to moderate winds along with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:46 a.m. on Thursday. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
