LPA's trough, Habagat to bring scattered rains over parts of country
The trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) and the Southwest Monsoon or habagat will bring cloudy skies, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over parts of the country on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.
Mindanao, Central Visayas, and Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA. Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Palawan and Occidental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat. Moderate to at times heavy rains may lead to flash floods or landslides.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA and localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for the Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan is light to moderate moving in the southwest to west direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
