ITCZ to bring scattered rains over South Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies, scattered rains and thunderstorms over parts of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on Friday, PAGASA reported.

MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms. PAGASA warned that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao is light to moderate moving southwestward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Sunrise will be at 5:45 a.m., sunset at 5:53 p.m. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
