ITCZ to bring scattered rains over parts of Mindanao
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies, scattered rains and thunderstorms over parts of Mindanao on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.
Zamboanga Peninsula, Davao Region, Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for Mindanao is light to moderate moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
Luzon and Visayas will have light to moderate winds moving in the east to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
