PAGASA: Mindanao to have scattered rains due to ITCZ
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is affecting several parts of Mindanao, according to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Tuesday.
In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said that Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Davao Occidental, and Davao Oriental will be having cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the effects of the ITCZ.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms, it added.
The weather conditions may cause possible flooding or landslides as a result.
Meanwhile, Mindanao may experience light to moderate winds blowing Southwest to Southeast with slight to moderate coastal waters while Luzon and Visayas will have light to moderate winds blowing East to Northeast with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The sun will rise at 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/LDF, GMA Integrated News
