PAGASA: ITCZ, localized thunderstorms to spur rains over Philippines
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao and the localized thunderstorms may spur rains across parts of the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said Monday.
Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over Mindanao due to the ITCZ while Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned against rain-induced floods and landslides that may occur in the affected areas.
Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are forecast over the country, according to the weather bureau.
The highest temperature reached 31.8°C at 2 p.m. while the lowest was 25.2°C at 5 a.m.
