Habagat to affect areas in S. Luzon, Visayas

The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will continue to affect the western section of Southern Luzon and Visayas.

Cloudy skies are expected in Palawan with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms because of the Southwest Monsoon, according to PAGASA's Saturday forecast.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms because of the Southwest Monsoon and localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods and landslides may occur as a result of the weather conditions.

The western section of the country will be experiencing light to moderate winds blowing southwest to south with slight to moderate coastal waters, while the rest of the Philippines will have light to moderate winds blowing southeast to south with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun will rise at 5:45 a.m. on Sunday morning. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
