Habagat to bring scattered rains over Northern, Central Luzon
The southwest monsoon or Habagat will bring cloudy skies, scattered rain showers and thunderstorm over parts of Northern and Central Luzon on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.
The Ilocos Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands will have monsoon rains brought about by the southwest monsoon. Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to heavy to at times intense rains.
The Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales and Bataan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms also due to the southwest monsoon with the possibility that flash floods or landslides occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms. The weather bureau said flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for Northern and Central Luzon is moderate to strong moving southwestward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
