Habagat to bring monsoon rains over Occidental Mindoro, north Palawan
The southwest monsoon or habagat will bring cloudy skies and rains over the western section of the country, PAGASA reported.
Occidental Mindoro and northern Palawan including Calamian Islands will have monsoon rains due to the southwest monsoon with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to heavy rains.
Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Batangas, Cavite, the rest of Mimaropa, and Western Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon. Flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may occur.
The wind speed forecast for Luzon is light to moderate moving in the southwest to south direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters will remain light to moderate.
