PAGASA: Easterlies to spur rains over Philippines

The easterlies are expected to bring isolated rain in the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said Monday.

In its 24-hour public forecast, PAGASA said the easterlies continue to affect the eastern section of the country and will spur partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Rain-induced flash floods and landslides may occur in these areas, it added.

Light to moderate forecast winds will prevail in the country. It will be accompanied by light to moderate coastal waters.

PAGASA recorded a minimum temperature of 21.3 °C at 5 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 31.5 °C at 12:00 p.m.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 6:00 a.m. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
