LPA's trough, shear line to bring scattered rains over Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao
A low pressure area (LPA) located east of southeastern Mindanao and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring rains over several areas on Saturday, PAGASA said in its forecast.
At 3 a.m. on Saturday, the LPA was estimated to be located at 1,000 kilometers east of southeastern Mindanao.
Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the trough of the LPA and shear line. Flooding or landslides may be possible due to moderate to heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon. Moderate to at times heavy rains may lead to flash floods or landslides.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.
The wind speed forecast for the entire country is moderate to strong moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Sunrise will be at 6:23 a.m., sunset at 5:41 p.m. —BAP/KG, GMA Integrated News
