LPA to bring scattered rains to MIMAROPA, Bicol, Visayas, parts of Mindanao
At 3 a.m. on Thursday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 185 kilometers west of Catbalogan City, Samar or 50 km east of Roxas City, Capiz as the northeast monsoon continue to affect parts of Luzon, PAGASA reported.
MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA with possible flooding or landslides due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains.
Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, and CALABARZON will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The Ilocos Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA and localized thunderstorm with possible flash floods or landslides during sever thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for the whole country is moderate to strong moving in the northeast to east direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.
