ITCZ, shear line to bring rain across Luzon

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and a shear line may bring scattered rain showers across parts of Luzon, weather bureau PAGASA predicted on Monday.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may prevail over the Bicol Region and the provinces of Palawan, Quezon, Aurora, Isabela, and Cagayan due to the ITCZ and the shear line, PAGASA said in its 4 p.m. bulletin.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the public about possible flash floods and landslides due to the rains.

Winds over Northern Luzon would be moderate to strong, to be accompanied by moderate to rough waters. Light to moderate winds, meanwhile, may be experienced over the rest of the county, with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Temperatures dropped to a low of  24.4°C at 6 a.m., then rose to a high of 32.1°C at 2 p.m.
