LPA spotted off extreme northern Luzon - PAGASA
Weather bureau PAGASA on Tuesday spotted a low pressure area east of extreme northern Luzon.
As of 3 p.m., the LPA was located 1,085 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon, PAGASA said in its 4 p.m. bulletin.
Batanes and the Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA said.
The wind speed forecast for northern Luzon is moderate to strong, while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough, with heights ranging from 2.5 meters to 4 meters.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speeds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions, with waves ranging from 0.6 meters to 2.5 meters high. — Mel Matthew Doctor/VBL, GMA News
