Habagat to still bring rains across the country
The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will continue to affect Central Luzon, southern Luzon, the Visayas, and the western section of Mindanao, PAGASA said Sunday.
The Habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Northern Mindanao, the state weather bureau reported in its 4 p.m. daily weather forecast.
Affected residents were advised to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country due to Habagat.
Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA said.
The wind speed forecast for western section of Luzon will be moderate to strong moving in the southwest to south direction while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough, ranging from 1.2 to 2.8 meters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to southeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters, ranging from 0.6 to 2.5 meters. — Mel Matthew Doctor/BM, GMA News
