PAGASA: Habagat, LPA to bring rains in parts of Luzon
The combined effects of low pressure area and Southwest Monsoon or habagat will continue to bring rainfall in seven areas in Luzon, PAGASA said on Wednesday night.
The LPA was located 90 kilometers west northwest of Itbayat, Batanes at 10 p.m., based on the state weather bureau’s 11 p.m. weather forecast.
"This weather disturbance remains less likely to develop into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours," PAGASA said.
With this development, hazards affecting land areas and the effect of Habagat and LPA had weakened.
However, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, and Kalayaan Islands will still experience scattered light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms in the next 24 hours.
"PAGASA Regional Services Divisions will continue to issue thunderstorm and rainfall advisories as appropriate," PAGASA said.—Mel Matthew Doctor/LDF, GMA News
