Habagat, LPA to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over NCR, Visayas, 4 areas


At 3 a.m. on Tuesday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 420 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora as the southwest monsoon affects the western sections of southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, PAGASA reported.

Metro Manila, Visayas, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon / LPA with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The western sections of northern and central Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to south direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
