PAGASA: Two tropical cyclones could enter Philippines in coming days

State weather bureau PAGASA said Thursday that two tropical cyclones could enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the coming days.

At a Laging Handa public briefing, PAGASA Administrator Undersecretary Vicente Malano said in the next three days, no tropical cyclone was forecast to enter PAR.

However, two tropical cyclones are  seen to enter the country after those three days.

(We don't see any tropical cyclone entering the country in the next three days. We are, however, expecting that after three days, a tropical cyclone will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility.)

(The characteristics of these two tropical cyclones are similar to weather disturbances Caloy and Domeng, which entered PAR recently. Domeng headed towards the northern part of the country while the other one traversed the direction going to China.)

PAGASA has said the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring inclement weather over Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

It said Metro Manila and the rest of the country would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. — RSJ, GMA News
