Ridge of HPA to bring rains over Philippines


A ridge of high-pressure area (HPA) is extending over the eastern section of Luzon, PAGASA said Monday.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

It also warned about the possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Forecast wind in the whole archipelago will be light to moderate. Coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Minimum temperature was reported at 5 a.m. at 24.6°C while the maximum temperature was at 31.6°C at 11 a.m..
