ITCZ to bring scattered rain over Mindanao, Palawan

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) would affect Mindanao and Palawan while the rest of the country would be under the influence of the easterlies, PAGASA said in a Tuesday afternoon forecast.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, the Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, and Palawan would experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to ITCZ and easterlies.

Flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rain were possible in these areas, PAGASA warned.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Coastal waters would be slight to moderate throughout the country.

Temperatures rose to a high of 33.2°C at noon, while the minimum temperature was 25.4°C at 5 a.m., PAGASA said. — DVM, GMA News
