Batanes, Babuyan Islands to have light rains due to northeasterly surface windflow

The northeasterly surface windflow will cause cloudy skies and light rains to prevail over Batanes and Babuyan Islands on Sunday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

The easterlies meanwhile are affecting Central and Southern Luzon, as well as Visayas and Mindanao.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will thus have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may possibly result during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.
