Yellow rainfall warning up over Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro
PAGASA raised the yellow rainfall warning over four provinces on Monday morning due to the effects of the trough of a low pressure area and wind convergence.
The areas affected are Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Sur, Davao Oriental and Davao de Oro.
Areas under yellow rainfall warning will have heavy rains measuring 7.5 to 15 mm in an hour and these are expected to continue in the next two hours.
Flooding and landslides are possible in low-lying areas and mountainous areas, respectively.
Residents are advised to monitor the weather condition.
Light to moderate to at times heavy rains meanwhile are currently pouring over Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Island, Davao Occidental, Davao del Norte, Davao City, Bukidnon , Misamis Oriental (Binuangan, Balingoan, Sugbongcogon, Kinoguitan, Talisayan, Medina, Claveria, Gingoog, Magsaysay), Camiguin Island, Sarangani, North Cotabato (Arakan, Magpet, Makilala), South Cotabato (General Santos, Polomolok, T'boli) and may affect nearby areas, PAGASA said. —KG, GMA News
