Baguio City temperature dips to 11.4 degrees Celsius —PAGASA

The temperature in Baguio City dropped to 11.4ºC on Sunday, its lowest this month so far, as the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) affects Luzon and Visayas, state weather bureau PAGASA said Sunday.

PAGASA weather specialist Chris Perez said the lowest temperature this month at the Science Garden in Quezon meanwhile was 20.4°C, also recorded on Sunday morning.

"So far, sa monitoring station natin simula noong December 1, ang pinakamababa sa may bandang Baguio City ay umabot ng 11.4°C kaninang madaling araw. Samantala dito sa Science Garden sa Quezon City, kanina rin umabot ng 20.4 degrees Celsius ang minimum temperature," said Perez in a Super Radyo dzBB interview.

(So far our monitoring station found that Baguio City's temperature reached  11.4 degrees Celsius early this morning, the lowest since December 1. Meanwhile, at the Science Garden in Quezon City, the lowest temperature so far was at 20.4°C, also this morning.)

With the prevalence of the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan season, the temperature may get even lower in January or February next year, Perez said.
