Shear line to bring scattered rains over Calabarzon, Aurora, Isabela, Cagayan
Calabarzon, Aurora, Isabela and Cagayan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms on Sunday due to the shear line, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.
The shear line is currently affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. It is the narrow zone is which there is an abrupt change in the horizontal wind component parallel to this line, according to the American Meteorological Society.
The above mentioned areas may have flash floods or landslides during times of heavy rains.
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) meanwhile is affecting Northern and Central Luzon.
The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley and of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may result during severe thunderstorms.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
