Northeast monsoon to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of northern Luzon
The northeast monsoon forecast to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of Northern Luzon, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Provinces, and Catanduanes will have cloudy skies with rains brought about by the northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Ilocos Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The weather bureau is also monitoring two weather systems outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
A Tropical Depression is located 230 kilometers west of Kalayaan islands, Palawan with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers near the center and gustiness up to 55 ph moving westward.
Meanwhile, a Tropical Storm located 1,760 kilometers east of northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center, gustiness up to 90 kph and moving northward at a speed of 15 kph.
Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate moving in the northeast to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
The wind speed in the Visayas and Mindanao will be light to moderate moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
