Orange rainfall warning up over Palawan; yellow over Quezon, 5 other areas

State weather bureau PAGASA has raised orange warning level of rainfall over Palawan and yellow warning over Quezon and five more areas on Thursday.

In an advisory, PAGASA warned of flooding in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas in Palawan especially Calamian Islands amid the orange warning.

Under orange warning, flooding is threatening in low-lying areas and near river channels, PAGASA said.

Meanwhile, the yellow warning has been raised over the following areas:

• Quezon (Dolores, Tiaong, Candelaria, Sariaya, Lucena, Tayabas, San Antonio)
• Cavite
• Laguna
• Batangas
• Zambales
• Bataan

PAGASA warned of flooding in areas prone to this hazard in these areas.

Under yellow warning, flooding is “possible” in low-lying areas and near river channels, according to PAGASA.
