LPA off North Luzon develops into Tropical Depression Fabian

The low pressure area inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has developed into Tropical Depression Fabian, PAGASA announced Friday.

Interviewed on Super Radyo dzBB, PAGASA weather specialist Ana Clauren said TD Fabian was located at around 1,335 kms east of North Luzon.

Clauren said Fabian might enhance the southwest monsoon in the coming days, which will bring rains to huge parts of the country.

Fabian however is not expected to make a landfall.

The first severe weather bulletin will be issued at 5 p.m. on Friday, Clauren said. --Jamil Santos/KBK, GMA News
