Red rainfall warning raised over Cebu, Bohol, Southern Leyte


PAGASA has raised a red rainfall warning over Northern and Central Cebu, Bohol and Southern Leyte due to tropical storm Dante on Tuesday afternoon.

Under this warning, the weather agency said serious flooding is expected in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas.

Meanwhile, an orange warning level was raised over Southern Cebu.

PAGASA warned that flooding is threatening in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas.

The weather agency also raised a yellow warning level over Siquijor, Negros Oriental, Leyte, Samar, and Eastern Samar.

Flooding is possible under this warning level.

Several areas were placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 as tropical storm Dante moved north-northwestward toward the southern portion of Eastern Visayas.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
