Bising to bring scattered rain across east Visayas, Mindanao
Typhoon Bising {international name Surigae) would bring cloudy conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Regions, PAGASA said Friday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rain.
At 3 p.m. on Friday, Bising was 895 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte with maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph.
It was moving westward at 15 kph.
PAGASA earlier said Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 could be raised over some localities in Northern Samar and Eastern Samar on Friday night.
A severe weather bulletin on Bising is set to be issued at 11 p.m.
Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms were expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over the rest of the country.
The weather agency said flash floods or landslides were also possible during severe thunderstorms. — DVM, GMA News
