Metro Manila, rest of the country to have isolated rains due to easterlies

Warm winds from the Pacific Ocean called the easterlies will continue to prevail over the Philippines, according to PAGASA on Thursday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency said the easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.

The synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 25.6° at 6:30 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 32.2°C at 1 p.m.

In its 4 p.m. thunderstorms advisory, PAGASA said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Metro Manila and Laguna within the next two hours.

As of posting time, the same conditions are being experienced in Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Quezon, Zambales, Rizal, and Bulacan, which may persist within two hours and nearby areas.
