Northeast Monsoon to bring rains over Eastern Visayas, Luzon, Mindanao


The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) affecting the country will bring rains over Eastern Visayas and parts of Luzon and Mindanao on Sunday, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Northern Mindanao will have cloudy skies with rains, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides during times of moderate to heavy rainfall.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora and Quezon will also have cloudy skies but with light rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao, with waves reaching 4 meters.

As for the rest of Mindanao, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Sunrise will be at 6:25 a.m. while sunset will be at 5:55 p.m. —KG, GMA News
