Visayas, Mindanao to have scattered rains due to frontal system, ITCZ
Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Monday due to the tail-end of a frontal system and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.
Flash floods or landslides may occur during times of moderate to heavy rains.
The tail-end of frontal system (Shear line) is affecting the eastern section of Visayas while the ITCZ is affecting Mindanao.
Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is affecting Luzon.
It will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough (up to 4 meters) in the seaboards of Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao.
The seas will be slight to moderate meanwhile in the rest of Mindanao.
