Orange rainfall warning up over parts of Palawan —PAGASA

An orange rainfall warning has been raised over the southern portion of Palawan including  Kalayaan Group of Islands on Sunday afternoon, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In a 2p.m. heavy rainfall advisory, PAGASA warned of a possible flooding in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas.

The warning was based on the current radar trends and all available meteorological data, PAGASA said.

Due to the threat, PAGASA advised the public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned to take appropriate actions and monitor the weather bureau’s updates.

In an earlier advisory, PAGASA said that the tail-end of a frontal system is affecting Southern Luzon. —LBG, GMA News
