Tropical Depression Vicky makes landfall in Davao Oriental
Tropical Depression Vicky has made landfall in Davao Oriental on Friday afternoon, according to PAGASA weather forecaster Jun Galang.
Interviewed on Super Radyo dzBB, Galang said Vicky made landfall at Baganga, Davao Oriental at 2 p.m.
"Nag-landfall siya kaninang alas dos ng hapon sa may Baganga, Davao Oriental, at inaasahan natin na pagkatapos niya mag-landfall dito ay maaaring mag-cross siya sa Mindanao at magi-emerge siya dito sa may Bohol Sea bukas ng umaga," he said.
He said Vicky may move close to Siquijor and pass through southern portion of Negros Island.
"Maaari po bukas ng hapon ay nandito na siya sa may Sulu Sea," Galang said.
As of 2 p.m. on Friday, over 30 areas were under Signal No. 1. According to PAGASA, these areas may experience "strong breeze to near gale conditions" during Vicky's passage. —KBK, GMA News
