PAGASA: Expect light rain, cloudy skies in next 24 hours
Cloudy skies and light rain will prevail over the Philippines within the next 24 hours due to the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan, the Easterlies, and the tail-end of a frontal system, PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.
In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said cloudy skies with light rains will be experienced in Batanes, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains should be expected in the Ilocos Region.
No significant impact expected in the two areas.
Meanwhile, the tail-end of a frontal system is affecting other parts of the country.
PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rain and isolated thunderstorms will hover over the Cordillera Administrative Region, rest of Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon province.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will also prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Residents of these areas were told to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms. — Julia Mari Ornedo/BM, GMA News
