Orange rainfall warning raised over Apayao, Cagayan, Isabela


PAGASA has raised an orange rainfall warning over Apayao, Cagayan and Isabela on Wednesday evening due to typhoon Ulysses.

According to its 11 p.m. advisory, specific areas affected are Calanasan, Conner, Kabugao,  Luna, Bulug, Claveria, Pamplona, Santa Praxedes, and  Sanchez Mira, Divilacan, Ilagan City, and Maconacon.

Under this warning, PAGASA said that flooding and landslides are “threatening” in flood and landslide-prone areas.

Meanwhile, a yellow rainfall warning was raised over Lacub, Malibcong, and  Tineg in Abra; Flora, Pudtol, and Santa Marcela in Apayao; Allacapan, Alcala, Amulung, Aparri, Baggao, Ballesteros, Buguey, Camalanuigan, Enrile, Gattaran, Gonzaga, Iguig, Lasam, Lallo, Peñablanca, Piat, Rizal, Santa Ana, Santa Teresita, Santo Niño, Solana, Tuao, and Tuguegarao City in Cagayan; Adams and Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte; and Cabagan, Gamu, San Pablo, and  Tumauin in Isabela.

PAGASA said that under this alert, flooding and landslides are possible.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains are expected to persist in Abra, the rest of Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Isabela, and Kalinga for two to three hours.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
